Open Access Policy

The Nortis Journal of Sports Sciences (NJSS) believes that the free sharing and dissemination of knowledge is essential for scientific progress. Accordingly, NJSS adopts an open access model.

All articles published in NJSS are immediately accessible to everyone without any financial or access barriers. Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

Users are free to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material.

Conditions:

  • Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes must be indicated. This should not suggest endorsement by NJSS.

  • NonCommercial: The material may not be used for commercial purposes.

  • No Additional Restrictions: Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the license.

  • Peer Review Process

    Nortis Journal of Sports Sciences applies a double-blind peer review process.

    • After the initial editorial screening, submissions are sent to at least two independent reviewers.

    • Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.

    • Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:

      • Accept

      • Revision (major/minor)

      • Reject

    • The average review time is between 4-8 weeks.

    • The final decision is made by the editor-in-chief and the editorial board.
